New relationships, new business opportunities

Friday 21 August 2009

Croydon businesspeople will be making a beeline to the Fairfield Halls in September to meet buyers who can help fill their order books.

Many suppliers have already signed up for this event, which indicates that opportunities are still available, in spite of the recession.

This free ?Meet the Buyers' event on 24th September is a bit like speed dating, but the idea is to build new relationships and match buyers with suppliers.
It is an all-day event but, to get the most out of it, Croydon businesses should get in touch as early as possible, so that they can be matched up with like-minded buyers.

Previous ?Meet the Buyers' have resulted in contracts worth thousands of pounds being signed.

The day is being organised by Croydon Enterprise partners, Business to Business Ltd.  The Croydon Enterprise programme is now a key part of the Croydon Economic Development Company (CEDC) group.

CEDC Chief Executive Tony Kildare will welcome buyers and suppliers and use the opportunity to say a little about the new company's aims.
Buyers who have attended previous events include: Baker Tilly; British Telecom, Fedex, First Choice Holidays, Interserve and McDonalds Restaurants.
Organisation will be provided with a furnished ?Procurement Advice Booth' where buyers will meet suppliers on an ?appointment only' basis. Signage, stand furniture and full catering throughout the event is free of charge.
